Size & Mounting Information

All of my paintings are one-of-a-kind original watercolours, painted using professional artist watercolours with lightfast pigments on high-quality 100% cotton watercolour paper.

Mounted paintings are traditionally hinge-mounted to allow the paper to move naturally with changes in humidity.

Original Paintings

7 × 5” is my smallest option for an original painting.

7 x 5” Unmounted : The original 7 × 5” painting only.

7 x 5” Mounted: The painting is supplied with an 8 × 10” soft-white mount, ready to place into a suitable 8 × 10” frame.

8 × 10” is my larger option for an original painting.

8 x 10” Unmounted : The original painting only, which has an 8 × 10” visible artwork area and is painted on a slightly larger 9 × 12” sheet of cotton paper.

This means you can frame the painting with a suitable mount yourself, or place the full painted sheet directly into a 9 × 12” frame.

8 x 10” Mounted : The painting is supplied with an 11 × 14” soft-white mount, ready to place into a suitable 11 × 14” frame.

Mini Originals

Mini Originals are one-of-a-kind exploratory watercolours, often painted at 7 × 5”, unless the description states otherwise.

This collection includes colour studies, exploratory pieces and concepts I’ve particularly enjoyed painting.

They are traditionally offered unmounted, unless the description states otherwise, giving you the freedom to choose a mount and frame in a style to suit your home.

Further Information

Mounted paintings are sized intentionally to fit standard UK frame sizes, so they can be placed straight into your chosen frame.

Unmounted paintings give you the freedom to choose a frame and mount to complement your home and personal style.
